Hi, I'm in Sheffield and have to go to Duke Medical Centre, which I
think is on Talbot Road in Sheffield, x-rays have to be done at
Hallamshire Hospital.  I don't know if this is closest for you but I was
gonna hunt around for a few quotes but decided against it cos there was
nowhere else close to us.  I think there is also somewhere in
Chesterfield.
Hope this helps,    Marie.

Hi Marie,  Its a toss up between the one you mentioned in Shefield and
one listed in Huddersfield, I don't think there's much in it for us in
Barnsley.    Will any hospital do your x-rays ?

Hi Corker,
I've dug out the printout I got when I searched for where to get
medicals done.  I was wrong in saying Hallamshire Hospital for x-rays,
it's actually Claremont Hospital and it is the only one in this area we
can get them done at.
X-Rays - X-ray department, Claremont Hospital, 401 Sandygate Road,
Sheffield, S10 5UB. Tel 0114 263 2110. There are about 13 different
radiologists so it shouldn't take too long for an appointment.
The medical has to be done at Duke Health Centre, 28 Talbot Road,
Sheffield,  S2 2TD.  Tel 0114 272 0689. There are only 4 doctors you can
see, these are: Dr Bryson, Dr Jordan, Dr Lightfoot or Dr Afzal.  I spoke
to a receptionist about a month ago and was told you can usually get an
appointment within a fortnight, once you book an appointment they send
you all the details.
As for the price, for 2 adults and a 3 year old, it was just short of
?400. I didn't write an itemised list but I think our medicals were ?120
and our daughters is ?80, with both me and my husband having to pay an
additional ?25 each for an extra blood test as we both have a tattoo.
Think we're gonna be booking them to have them done end Feb/early March
so if anythings changed I'll stick a post on here.
Hope this helps,     Marie

Blimey that's cheap.  I had to pay ?60 for the extra blood test, but
that is down in the very affluent south - not!
