Hello to all - just joined today!!
Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
Paul is due to leave the Royal Navy in December after 22 years. He has
applied to the Australian Navy eight months ago and we received an email
recently saying that they are sending Conditions of Service. We assume
this is an acceptance and a job offer.
Has anyone gone to Australia via the ADF route? If so, your experiences
would be of great interest.
What is the next procedure and how long does it all take?
We understand that they will pay for us and our belongings to get to
Australia.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there I too have put on a post about transfering to RAN on the
Australia site, and had a few helpful replies.

Hi P&S
I have posted a reply to Mrs Gobbyjock in the 'Australia' Forum, do a
search on RN/RAR, you may find it helpful?

Hi Paul and Steph, my Dad did exactly that albeit 30 odd years ago. If
you want to PM me your email address I can get him to contact you.
I'm sure things will have changed since then but it may help.
Best of luck with it all.

It's a long (Cilla Black - Surprise Surprise) type story but one which
I'm starting to put right. Not only is my Dad (who I've spent 8 weeks
out of 40 years with) out there but also my half-sister. Maybe I should
start a poll to see how many people would be interested to hear the
tale, probably not many!!

Maybe you could give us some advice. We are just at the very beginning
stages of sending all our paperwork back to transfer to the Ran. Looking at
the date of your post I would hope you are all sorted now. How long did it
all take? how did it go?
