Where to do my medicals

Has anybody got any experience of where to go to have my medicals done
in the Portsmouth, UK area.

I have got the approved list, I was hoping that someone on here has used
and can recommend one. We dont mind travelling up to about an hour away
if needed.

Price is a concern, but more worried about professionalism, getting the
forms rights, sending them to the right place first time etc etc.

Thanks

If you do have the current list then my brother and his partner had
theirs done in Southampton. You do have to go to 2 different places
(near each other and they had them done on the same day) but they did
not have any problems and the fees were OK. Not sure exactly what they
were but we will probably use them to when we get to that stage.

We did ours in Chichester (about 30 mins from Portsmouth), and the
doctor there was fine. Had the Xrays at the hospital in the morning, and
the medicals at the surgery in the afternoon. Very nice and easy.
Chichester was also far cheaper than the place in Winchester.

I rang the Chichester surgery and was quoted

Adult Medical ?85, blood tests for the Adults ?25, X-Rays for the Adults
(done at a seperate hospital, but on the same day) ?45.

Child Medical ?50, no blood test, no X-Rays

So all in all Adult ?155, Child (u-15) ?50.

Receptionist was very nice and explained it all in detail, got me
pencilled in for April 14th, going to check with my agent first though!

That doesn't seem too bad. We have three kids so we also want to try and
keep all of the costs down as much as possible. It may be worth the
drive down there but for us Southampton is much nearer so I will find
out about their prices.

Could be worthwhile, we have three kids as well, although they are
20, 18 and 7.

They class as two adults and one child, add me and the wife to that
equation and you are taking the thick end of ?670 :scared:

Damn kids keep getting more expensive as they get older ;)

I know what you mean, get the two older ones to pay their own way if
they want to go......only joking.

Ours are 11, 7 & 3 so it should keep the cost down compared to yours. We
thought about leaving one behind but could not decide which one so I
suppose we will all have to go eh ! ! !

After all its only another fifty quid.

Also, I spoke to my brother and he actually had one part done at
Winchester and the other part done at Southampton but it was more
expensive than the quote from Chichester so I guess we may go there too.
