I wouldn't say 'any' visa - only the skilled visas and a few others are
affected by the 45 age bar.
Family Stream visas, such as Spouse, Interdependent, Parent or Remaining
Relative, are not affected.
In general any same-sex couple contemplating skilled migration will have
to do a two stage process of one partner getting residence through a
skilled visa, with a subsequent interdependent sponsorship. And
professional advice in this area adds a lot of value.

That is what I meant Jeremy.
The visas you mention have strict criteria and if you do not meet
that criteria are out of the question.
For instance there is the 'balance of family' requirement for
parent visas.

Mr. Jeremy,
I just want to clear things up, me and my same-sex partner are plannin
to apply for a provisional visa through state sponsorship which we hav
submitted both our resume and received a positive response regardin
their sponsorship to us. So my partner will be the main applicant fo
this visa, does this mean that I cannot accompany him as a dependen
partner being an interdependent partner? What if I will claim fo
Partner Skills? Please help.
Thanks
