Good evening to everyone who is as impatient as me! We are waiting for
our Visa to be granted and wondered if there are any others waiting for
same visa? would be good to chat if your on? Sent our application which
was frontloaded 20th april with nomination letter, unfortunately mix up
with payment and sponsor paid today (hopefully) how long is realistic
from now, DIMIA have acknowledged reciept of our application.
Im seriously thinking of handing my notice in at work???

Hi Samjam

We are on the exact same visa.  Agent has finally sent in our
application today.  Was yours frontloaded with meds and pcc's?  Our just
has pcc's and we have meds waiting at docs to be sent as soon as we get
a case number.  I've heard that it takes around 8 weeks for RSMS.  But I
am presuming that's with no glitches along the way.  We have a tricky
medical issue.

It's nervewracking stuff.  But sit tight, I hope you'll hear
something soon.

Did you use an agent by the way?  Where are you going?

Hello,
thanks for the reply- our meds xrays and pcc  were done prior to getting
our nomination letter so they were already recieved by DIMIA before we
even applied. We are going to Canberra, didnt use an agent as sponsor
said they would guide us through. I got the job in August - it has taken
ages!! Where you going- what job?

We are going to Toowoomba, Queensland.  Hubby got the job in October, so
know how you feel.  He's a photocopier engineer, which is in high demand
for a regional area, so hope the employer don't give up on us.  Wish we
hadn't used an agent now, as they have been so useless. How long did it
take for DIMIA to acknowledge your application by the way?

Well im a social worker and hubby will be house husband for a while
anyway, 4 kids in toe! I dont think DIMIA would have acknowledged
reciept if i hadnt have emailed them to ask about progress, make sure
you have sent it to the correct DIMIA ie the one where you nomination
letter was approved, then contact them as per DIMIA website, making sure
you email the correct place.

Yes, application definitely going to Brisbane where nomination was
approved too.  Going directly to a case officer who knows our case
already.  Don't know if you know history to our case, first application
was actually denied, due to the nomination not being approved yet.
(This is why we don't like our agents.)  So they said no.  Dissappointed
was not the word!  Second time lucky we hope!  The stress is awful!

Cheers
