Hi,

Please can somebody tell me how far back your wife/husband's work
experience can be to remain valid for skills assessment. I have enough
points with the 100k bond but I would prefer not to stump up the cash.

thanks in advance

As far as I'm aware they have to meet the basic requirements so 12 out
of the last 18 months if they've been assessed with a 60 point
occupation and 3 out of the last 4 years for a 40 or 50 point
occupation.

It's two out of three years if you have a 40/50 point occupation.

And that's only for the basic requirements on a 136, 137 or 138 visa.
The subclass 134 and 139 visas have a different work experience
requirement.

Points, if required for subclasses 136 and 138, requires 3 years in the
4 years before application.

Some skill assessing bodies - but not others - may have additional
requirements.

There is scope for other complexities if work experience is not in the
same occupation as nominated occupation.

Read the Skilled Migration Booklet and if not 100% confident of where
you stand, get good professional advice.

Thanks for the responses. It's definitely a no go but I thought I would
ask. Oh well off to do the night job to raise the bond money. :-)
