I've printed out the Stat Dec PDF's from the Aus Immi website. Are these ok
to use from the UK?
Can I get the stat decs from my parents signed by a solicitor myself or do
they have to do it personally?
Can anyone recommend a good solicitor in SW London (preferably near a tube
station!)?
Thanks! I'm really hoping to get my application in this Friday!
Hi Ed,
I would believe because of the bottom lines that the statutory
declaration from the AUS Immi pages is meant for use in Australia.
I did a search on these pages and found several threads on the subject
with examples for the wording which can be used anywhere.
Good luck with your application!

The aussie ones are only for use by AUstralian citizens (who will need
to attach proof of citizenship) because it's bound by aussie law. Do a
search on this forum and you'll find loads of examples of ones you can
use in the UK. There is also one on the DIMIA website somewhere - kind
of a big blank with footnotes.
The forms must be signed by the person completing the form. They must do
this in front of the person witnessing it (not before). In other words,
your parents will need to get the forms signed...all part of the
witnessing procedure.

The aussie ones I'm referring to are the ones from immi.gov.au ... I've been
told conflicting information about whether to use these in the UK.
Will a blank sheet of paper with the appropriate wording do?
