Immigration Forum / Australia and NZ / August 2005Flights booked
Hi all, Got the visa yesterday,booked flights and going to Sydney with Cathay Pacific for a very reasonable £1350 for the 4 of us, on the 12/10/05. Was hoping to go at the end of September but a few things went against us. Party is booked to say a few tearful goodbye's, booking removals today. Has anyone got any advice on things to do that might get forgotten? Good luck to all those of you still waiting,especially pre-July. We also fly on 12/10/05 with Cathay Pacific. Man to LHR, LHR to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to Brisbane. We are on the 12.45 from LHR to Hong Kong as it meant we only have a 2 hour stopover in HK. Thanks for the advice everyone, we are all really excited now but trying to keep our feet on the ground and remember everything. It's great now when you get that question from people, " have you heard anything yet" to be able to say yes and let them know we are going. I am sure a few people didn't actually believe we were ever going to go, after all the times we were saying we hadn't heard!! > What time flight you on? We fly LHR to Hong Kong at 22:35, so you will be well on your way then!! In the same boat...just hoping that I've managed to think of everything.. We're flying Cathay from Glasgow on 26/9 via LHR>HK>Brisbane cost = £1550.00....always dearer flying from Scotland! > congrats. > > Who did u book yr flights through, I am about to start looking > at mine :) Hi chilliman we booked through travelbag, you could also try lastminute.com. Have been advised by Cathy Pacific today that we do not qualify for the extra baggage allowance as you have to buy a more expensive ticket for this privilege. Has anyone else came across this problem? |
