Questions; the first of many. I have decided to use migrationexpert.com
because I have a headache already what with forms, procedures etc.

Before I hand over my dosh, £172.00, do I need my TRA thing first?

I am a UK national, 39 year old qualified electrician. Wife 39 UK national
British Airways Authority security guard at Heathrow, and we have a 9 year
old daughter.

Are migrationexpert.com any good?

We have been mulling this over for 3 years and before we get any older and
before my daughter gets truly settled here we need to make this decision NOW

I do not want to end up regretting a bad decision.

I do NOT do regret

HELP

Please

Yes if you are a sparky you need to get your TRA done sharpish! Don't
know about migrationexpert.com but would highly recc George Lombard
www.austimmigration.com.au or Glenn Newton www.alms.com.au.

PM me if you need any templates, etc as I have a few that may be
helpful........

Best wishes,

Claire

Good question! My next post was going to ask you all the same thing.

Where are you now and why did you pick that particular area, and what are
the pros and cons of the area that you picked.

We're probably looking at Perth at the moment, just as a start. Can't
believe how cheap property is out there!

Well, we are headed fro the Gold Coast in Queensland! Many reasons.....
lots of good jobs for my hubby (he is a Head Chef) and also my mum &
stepdad live there..... so BABYSITTERS GALORE! hehehehehe pnly kidding!
I haven't seen my mum more than 6 times since I was 14 so it will be
LOVELY to have her up the street!!! (long story).... plus my mum & i run
a business on the Gold Coast too. www.goldcoastsmile.com

so the question now has to be asked..... why Perth???

Why not? Seems to be where the majority of Brits head for. I'm not a sheep
but it sort of makes sense to head for 'familiar' territory. Have been doing
loads of research on areas ,schools and work. Think my 'mouse' hand is on
the way out :) Some of the houses out there are just 'obscene' in size,
considering the price. It seems a bit pointless buying a, what they call,
'entertaiment' house, when we'll have no-one to entertain tho! Maybe I'm
jumping the gun a bit here; haven't sent my TRA off yet! Hard not to get
excited though, now that we've FINALLY made the decision to go!!

Hi,

We're still in UK but are heading for Brisbane.  Applied and recently
got a job.  They've given me a start date of July 2006.  Have our visas
so only need to sell the house....fingers crossed.  We chose Brisbane
due to a number of things.  The weather for one, close to holiday
destinations that you don't have to spend half the time in the air (have
two kids 7 & 4 so traveling too far wasn't something we wanted to do)
and have friends in Sydney so we can fly there in next to no time.

Cheers

You definitely need to get your TRA sorted as at the moment processing
for MODL is taking only 2 weeks as apposed to 3 months.  My husband
and I are both sparkies, like you its difficult picking an agent.  We
went with Global Visa's they have not been too bad.  However if we
knew what we know now then we would have done it all on our own and
saved a good £1500.00, its actually not that hard.  You can download
all the info you need.
