I have 4 references appended to my CV, 3 professional and 1 semi-
professional/personal. Since doing that I have had 4 calls from
Adelaide agencies in the last month regarding it. Before that there
were no bites on my CV.
HAve them to take with you, try and get more immediate ones about role,
responsibilities and hpw you exceeded them.

Hi, is this for your TRA or just work related?
for your tra they need to be really detailed, cover job title, start &
finish date, f/t or p/t, then your tasks/duties, tools used etc...
my oh's refs were between 4 - 7 pages long.
for work it is usual over in oz to have detailed ref's, attached to
your cv...from what ive gathered anyway!
good luck

(For IT people )
These should be on company letterhead and include the job title, a
brief job description and precise dates of employment. They should also
clearly state whether employment was full or part-time along with
demonstrated levels of competence with any computer languages, the
various types of hardware and software used and the extent of
involvement with any major projects. Letters of appointment or
contracts are not accepted

Hi Nick
Just read your other thread on the CBOK (fun isnt it)?
Ensure your references are detailed, the ACS are looking again for
evidence that you do what you say you do, the CBOK may relate to this!
I would suggest at least a couple of pages, I know of people who have
failed due to lack of evidence from cv, so make sure your boss is aware.
Half the time (I believe) its you who ends up writing it, as the boss
will not want to write an essay on your behalf, plus unless they are
really switched on they dont have a clue about what you do anyway. If
this is the case ensure he agrees the content and signs it, and, all
should be well.
Good luck

Thanks jayjd,
I'm getting tired of this RPL stuff. Course of study, RPL application
form, resume, 2 project report....50 pages already ! Can't wait to send
and erase all these documents for good.
I sure would like to include RPL as the most difficult project in my
whole career :)
