Bad news. Unfortunatly this is not happening just in Australia... :(

this is just the next round of a continuing political skirmish, but it's
a shame that they've let the program become so unbalanced and open to
attack.  I should just mention that we've seen no slackening of demand
or visa grants, so this is not a reason to give up on a 457 option,
while noting that as Jeremy points out in the sticky thread above, PR is
almost always a better option.
