We did this myself as we applied when I was about 5 months pregnant.
You can't add the baby until it is born.
Once the baby is born you need to send a copy of Form 1022 (Change of
Circumstances). You also need to send the baby's full birth
certificate, certified copy of passport and 2 passport photos (I think
it's just 2 now). We had our baby's passport done when he was 3 weeks
old. It's a bit of a pain, but it had to be done.
Then when you're ready to do your medicals the baby will need to have
one done as well. You must have a passport for the baby for the
medicals. It's pretty easy for them, just like a regular checkout (no
x-rays, blood or urine needed).
Good luck with the baby and the visa. If you need any more information
just search as this comes up quite a bit.

Oh... I forgot to say definitely send in your application right away
like Dorothy mentioned. It will make the time pass a little quicker too
if you're waiting for the baby to come it will distract you from the
visa. Or at least it did for me.
