hi,

Is there any website or newsgroup where I can post my IELTS essays and
get corrected? Thank you.

I never heard of any such site which can correct your essay. But you
can try a lot of free sites teaching IELTS, also you can find help
from free sites for TOEFL. Both have essays, a lot of topics you will
find. Also see forum for IELTS, see how people are preparing. I got
help from these sources and got 7.5 overall. Devote maximum time for
practice. Its a full time activity for at least 20 days. All the
best.

Harris, can you point me in the direction of some useful free IELTS
teaching/Testing sites

It's difficult to find free correction of essays. Sometimes you can
get useful information on forums such as:

Somebody may be able to help you.

My site www.activeielts.com has lots of free stuff but you have to pay
for correction, sorry!
