Hi Peter, it really does vary mate but for us it took about 8 Weeks
Reading a number of recent posts I'd suggest you'd be looking at
similar timeline :)

Take a seat, crack open a beer (or 50  ) and you'll get an updat
soon :)

Pete, you say your employers have

> permitted me to work parttime for the remaining period which i hav
> stipulated at abt 8 weeks according to u

Remember, I said the timeline varies (although for us it took 8 weeks
so make sure you have a plan should you still be waiting in 10 - 1
weeks. Your waiting time may well be different to ours and there are n
guarantees that everything will be through in eight weeks so please kee
this in mind before confirming stuff with your employees :o

As for the integrity checks, as I understand it this is normall
confined to 'high risk' countries (Although Pete or a similarly bette
qualified person will be able to confirm this).

Where do you currently live

hey......the only thing i m concerned about is me being part tim
employed for the remaining waiting period......coz i am also trainin
new person in my place .......and my profession requires me to be awa
on field and meeting higher authorities ...so i m mostly away fro
office......so how will the employment check be done??? I Live in SR
LANKA.........do i have to sit at office all the time ??? and give u
some of my field duties to some 1 else ??or can i carry on with m
responsibilities?

Work experience after lodgement of your visa application is none of
DIAC's business - even if you're unemployed after your application is
lodged, it has no bearing on your skilled visa application.
