It should be noted that Australia is being flooded
with various "special scheme" migrants, "guest
workers", "family reunion scheme" migrants,
visa-overstayers, and "refugees".
The "refugees" actually represent a smaller
part of this mass-influx.
Many of those who overstay their visas eventually
get resident status by engaging the help of
immigration "consultants" (a growth industry).

The Howard regime has really presided over a great
increase in the influx, although it adopts the
posture of sternly holding back the tide.

In view of the fact that political parties all
compete for the mass immigration dollar, I ask:
What do WE get for OUR overpopulation dollar?

It is this:

* Unaffordable housing.
* Unaffordable medical.
* Unaffordable hospital.
* Lower-paid occupations.
* Relatively few decent occupations.
* Higher priced and less safe water.
* Higher prices and fees for services.
* Higher energy prices.
* More expensive travel.
* More time wasted in travelling.
* Increased air pollution.
* Increased noise pollution.
* Increased congestion.
* Increased random violence.
* Increased drug dependence.
* Increased taxes and fees.
* Increased levels of infections.
* Increased levels of poverty.
* Increased levels of personal debt.
* Increased levels of homelessness.
* Increased stressful stimulus.
* More epidemics.
* A reduction in the natural environment.
* Dead and toxic rivers.
* Dead fisheries.
* Degradation of the remaining natural environment.
* Destruction of the remaining natural habitat.
* Mercury-saturated inedible fish.
* Destruction of the welfare system.
* General deterioration in amenity.
* Increased social friction.
* A reduction in spaciousness.
* Reduced leisure time.
* Reduction in local discourse.
* A more fractured and rootless community life.
* Continual social and individual uprooting.
* Reduction of individual security.
* More government surveillance.
* More government regimentation.
* More empty talk from government.
* More empty talk from media whores.
* Increasing cost of maintaining existing infrastructure.
* Increasing cost of building new infrastructure.
* Richer rich, and poorer poor.
* A downgrading of "citizenship".
* Narrowing of individual freedoms and power.
* Less responsive government.
* More abusive government policy.
* More hidden agendas in government policy.
* Reduced individual input into government policy.
* The loss of what were once plentiful, cheap resources.
* Having to buy remedies for what we have lost.

Here are the key items and issues involved:

* Public and national assets.
* Grabbing national assets (privatization).
* Milking national assets.
* Deliberate mass immigration.
* Deliberate overpopulation.
* Big money for little or no effort.
* Ever cheaper labour.
* More consumers.
* Cheaper more compliant labour.
* Real and artificial scarcity.
* Testing for compliant personalities.
* Encouraging compliant personalities.
* Medicating dissident personalities.
* New propaganda campaigns.
* Testing the effectiveness of new propaganda.
* Control of the public via media hype and spin.
* Control of the public via implied threat.

The current "federalization" of national water
assets is actually the first phase of a scheme to
fully privatize (internationalize) water.

But this is not really about water, it is about
theft and social control. If the dull public can
be made to engage in "debate" over water, they
will have been skillfully media-managed once again.
Real public debate over real issues will not be
allowed to take root under any circumstances.

The ideal "nation" in the view of the wealthy
corporatists, is a mass of compliant, conforming
robopaths being "managed" by layers of sociopaths
"managing" from above for wealthy globalists.

It should be obvious, that a society of robopaths
controlled by sociopaths is no society at all.

John Howard's little battlers get hit
hard by Howard's Housing Horror as they
try to climb the greasy pole of futility.

When Australia won "The Award for the Nation with
the Least Affordable Housing", it got confirmation
that the nation is facing an unprecedented housing
affordability crisis.
First home buyers have seen the dream of home
ownership locked away from them forever.

Demographia (www.demographia.com) released the
results of its "International Housing
Affordability Survey" in January 2007, warning
that the slump in home affordability will slash
household spending, retard economic growth, and
push up unemployment.

The United States, which scored 14 out of 25 of
the world's least affordable markets (No.1 L.A.,
No.2 San Diego, No.3 Honolulu, No.4 San
Francisco....etc) still came in overall much more
affordable than Australia relative to income.
While Canadian housing was ranked half as
expensive as Australia overall.

Not surprisingly, the finger-pointing has begun.
Politicians and economists are pointing the finger
at "rapacious" local governments blaming
restrictive land development policies, excessive
local taxes and exorbitant infrastructure costs.

Local governments deny these charges. They quote
the then Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia
(Ian Macfarlane) who told a House of
Representatives Committee last August that while
infrastructure costs had indeed added to the cost
of new housing, the main reason house prices were
so high was low interest rates. Encouraged by
"mainly tax incentives, plus a history of
inflation....(buyers) borrowed the money and drove
up house prices, so the whole stock of ... houses
basically doubled in price."

Local government planners blame low interest rates
for creating the huge surge in demand that
artificially inflated the house prices as buyers
fought each other in a mad scramble to buy as many
properties as they possibly could with their
borrowed money.

It is frightening to learn that every major
recession in Australia was preceded by such a
property "boom" as Australia now "enjoys".

So who's to blame? The people who supplied the
punch bowl?...or the party morons who didn't know
when enough is enough? Maybe the answer is they're
both to blame, but I'd suggest the federal
authorities are most to blame. They're supposed to
know better and are in positions of the highest
responsibility.

As I asked: Who can you trust?

be disappointed at not having high-priced sewage

suggest that if you want a migrant, you should
trade places with one. If you REALLY want
a migrant to come here so badly that you would
suffer TERRIBLY if they didn't, then sponsor one
by giving one of them your job and your home.

You could show your sincerity to the world by
doing the duties they left behind, while you live
