We would appreciate if someone could advice us on immigration procedures to New Zealand in the same sex category. We have document proof of living together for the last one year (for instance, passport & joint bank statement). Both of us are professionals in education and hospitality. Although we went through the website carefully, we are unable to understand the recognition of eligible professional categories especially for same sex couple. What would be the best possible approach to start the procedure? It may be a case of using an Immigration Attorney to help determine your eligibility. Perhaps the first step should be to have determined if your qualifications meet the NZQA equivalent. A passport is not proof of living together.
