We would appreciate if someone could advice us on immigration
procedures to New Zealand in the same sex category. We have document
proof of living together for the last one year (for instance, passport
& joint bank statement). Both of us are professionals in education and
hospitality. Although we went through the website carefully, we are
unable to understand the recognition of eligible professional
categories especially for same sex couple.

What would be the best possible approach to start the procedure? What
are the possibilities to migrate to New Zealand?

It may be a case of using an Immigration Attorney to help determine
your eligibility.

Perhaps the first step should be to have determined if your
qualifications meet the NZQA equivalent.

A passport is not proof of living together.

There are several immigration agents/attorneys in NZ - you could try
perusing through:

www.yellowpages.co.nz

Have you had your qualifications 'judged' by the NZQA?
Or, are your occupations on the needed skilled list?

This is a warning I posted sometime back:
>Some who have been around here for a while may remember postings
>invoving this Company - Stu Macann and Associates Ltd/Newjobz

>company, Skills New Zealand Ltd.          According to the news
>report, they are NOT registered agents.
So avoid this company and/or these people if you come across their
name.

Ensure whoever you seek assistance from is a registered Migrant Agent!
