Theoretically, YES! I don't know if you applied ONSHORE or OFFSHORE?
If your application is offshore, then probly the acknowledgement
letter just tells you your application is received. If the application
is onshore, the letter tells you what kind of bridging visa you will
have (mostly bridging visa A) after your existing visa expired.
I told you to ask for the case file number (actually it is "client
id", which is on the very top of the letter) for the purpose of making
you comfortable! Nothing else!
