Mark,

My application has been sent during the last week of Aug-2007. I
understand that it'll be 8 weeks before I hear back from DIAC and
another 6 months before the final outcome !! Is that right ?

Cheers,
G

Hi G

A couple of months for confirmation of receipt sounds realistic bu
time for final outcome really depends on the class of your vis
application and a number of other variables (where you live etc)....

Cheers

I've applied under SIR (skilled immigration) category. My agent say
that it'll take 8-9 months realistically (and he's quite that !!!).

Keeping fingers crossed !! :

Hi all, my partner and I have been together for 3 years, we are about t
lodge for an Interdependancy visa , but got cold feet to proceed as i
the last 12 months , we were forced by circumstances not to b
physically together for 4 months. Reason being my tourism visa to O
was about to expire to enter (we decided to lodge in Oz) and he stil
had to close his projects down in the States, and took longer than h
anticipated. Did anyone have a similar situation, how leniant were th
Immi Dept/ Not?  We don't want to waste  Dollars by taking a chance o
the 12 month rule . If there are any professional advisors or peopl
who has/had similar situations please let me knowwhat your experience
were or advice. I have less than a month to lodge or leave. Than

Hi all, we sent our TRA application on 13th September; I reckon it woul
have got to them on the 19th. If we get a positive assessment (oh pleas
god . . !) then we'll apply for STNI (Western Australia). I'm totall
dismayed because I had no idea this would all take so long . . . I'
impatient just to get there now! I'm sooo not good at waiting so thi
will be agony.

Anyone else just sent their trades assessment away?

Hmmm... It's been almost 2.5 months now that our application has bee
sent to DIAC under the SIR category. No response yet. :(

I enquired with my agent (TRN number, receipt of application) and the
seem to have gone mum (hopefully for now!!). Actually, I don't think m
agent's is the best of responsive and pro-active guys around.

Still waiting for a response from either DIAC or the agent. Getting
tad impatient tho' !! Only the barley's  of some help durin
these waiting times, I guess:
