Hi everybody Soon my 136 visa will be granted and I (and my wife) will move to Sydney. What should be done as we reach there? How should I find a job as a software engineer? There seem to be some delays in many visas, or so posts on misc.immigration.australia+nz would indicate, so don't really know how useful it would be to search for a job until you can give some indication of arrival date. On the other hand, perhaps a potential employer could speed things up, especially if a Government agency. What should be done as we reach there? If religious, offer up a sincere prayer of thanksgiving, perhaps? How should I find a job >as a software engineer?
