Hi everyone - would be grateful for some advice. We'd really wanted t
move to Australia but since the removal of pathway D we're stuck - m
husband is a roof tiler & slater and completed a 4-yea
apprenticeship/work experience before going self-employed (last 2 an
half years). Unfortunately he didn't attend college so we don't satisf
the requirements of the TRA.
We're still keen to move somewhere to better our lives and are lookin
at New Zealand. Will we encounter the same problems or do they stil
accept work experience as a valid pathway?
Thanks,
Christin

You firstly would need to check the skilled catergory list contained
on the N.Z. Immigration Website to see if a quick way would be the
skilled immigrant route.
Qualifications do have to be assessed by the N.Z.Q.A. All information
contained on the N.Z.I.S.
? you say your husband did an apprenticeship. If so, and he can prove
it, there shouldn't be any headaches however if he only did a work
experience/gain knowledge type learning, there could be problems.
AFAIK, being a tiler did not require a college degree. Times must
have changed if this is the case!
