Immigration Forum / Australia and NZ / August 2008Advice requested.
Hi.I applied for a GSM Subclass 136 BN visa (from India) on 13th Marc 07. I heard from my case officer on 22nd May 08 requesting fo documents (IELTS,Medicals & Police Clearance Certificate). The last o these documents I acquired and sent it to my case officer on 29th Jul 08. If everything is satisfactory, how long do you reckon it will take t get my PR visa? Is their a timeline after one has sent all th necessary documents to the case officer. In April 2008, they gave me medical & in June 2008, they asked me to submit PCC from India (at present - I am in Africa for last five working as expatriate engineer). In your case..... There is a time frame to submit all docs after CO asked (will b mentioned in your letter which you received from CO.), normaly wit in 28 days we need to submit all, otherwise we should inform them fo any delay. Recently my three friends migrated, they got visa grant letter withi 60 days, but it is not a official time frame. Hey mate, I think it says on the official DIAC website that the tim frame for an off-shore Visa process for "High-Risk" countries lik India is 15 months.In your case I think it is well past 15 months,an same in my case too. Don't know how much longer we have to wait.
