it depends - do you have an agent or have you done the visa applicatio
yourself? If with an agent - then they are the authorised point o
contact and you wont be able to get an info directly. If yourself, g
for it - I have heard of plenty of people making contact with their C
- there should be a switchboard number on the letterhead - start ther
and see - let us know what happens

hi,
i m a april 2007 aplicant, lodged my case through the agent only. it'
more than 16 months now no news et though being interviewed twice.
actually i had a talk thrice at the ASPC centre but once i was tol
that CO is on leave. Second time i called up the lady do tried t
contact me to the CO but she was not avaliable and she said she wil
leave a note with her. the thrid time person refused that i couldn'
speak to the CO as i m not permitted to do so

If you have an agent, you will not be the authorised point of contact.
You need to either put extreme pressure onto your agent or you ca
change the details (Form 956) with the DIAC to yourself (this will als
terminate your contract with your agent)
