Hi Everyone,

I have applied for my spouce's 485 visa on 23/03/2009 using pape
application to ASPC. It is compulsary to use paper application fo
adding family member to subclass 485. Can anyone tell me about it
processing time?

I mean, will it treated same as other normal 485 applications fo
processing or will be processed based on different queue?

I am worrying about applying for my PR as I have finished 1y
Australian experience and I am .Net Developer; it's in CSL.

Before applying for her visa,I have called ASPC about processing tim
and they told me it will usually takes 2-3 months to process. But
just called them yesterday with file reference number and they no
saying it will processed as normal 485 file. ASPC right now processin
April 2008 files for 485 paper application.

I don't know what to do now.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Did your wife hold an eligible visa when you added her to your 485
application? If not her visa will be refused.

Thanks Jeremy for your reply.

I have just applied for her visa as Adding Family Member to your su
class 485 visa. And she is not in Australia, she is in India.

See following link for more information:

'Skilled – Graduate (Temporary) visa (subclass 485)

I just got reply today from Immi about processing of this application
see following:

-This application will be processed in order of date of applicatio
within
the 485 subclass group.
Please refer to the auto response to a blank email sent to gsmb.
information@immi.gov.au for information on processing times.

For any further enquiries about the application you have lodged pleas

refer to our website using the following link http://www.immi.gov.
au/contacts/visa-enquiries/professionals.htm-

They are processing April 2008 application at the moment. Is there an
way to bring her here ASAP? May be Visitor Visa while Immi process 48
application?

Thanks and regards.

Hi Gargi,

I have applied using Paper form at ASPC. I haven't applied for an
other type of visa. Applied for her visa using link that I hav
specified in previous post. Immi took 1.5 months to grant my wife'
visa.

Something extra...I have called IMMI and explained the processing tim
frame for 485. And at the end they agreed to process my wife'
application quickly.

Right now I am at work so may be call you later this evening.

Hi Nikunj,

Hope you had a great weekend.

My question is do i need to contact Immigration or they will process
my wife's file within 1.5 months automatically. As i have applied on
23 april, 2009 exactly after 1 month of your's wife application. So i
guess case officer will be allocated soon.

Could you please call me anytime possible for you ASAP, it will be a
big favour for me.

Appreciate your help mate.

Thanks

Gargi

Hi Gargi,

I did call you on Friday evening. You should have one miss call fro
"Private Number".

Yes, call Immi and explain processing time frame for sub class 485.

Firstly, send them eamil on post enquiry form once you will get repl
then give them call and explain same things again over the phone. As
customer service rep to tell this issue to Processing Manager. In th
email enquiry they will definitely say "no". You may have luck over th
phone.

I will call you once again this evening.

cheers
