Iam applying from the USA. I am also an applicant for Canada PR (AOR
June 2005) Would this affect granting the TRV visa ?

I have already answered your question in BritishExpats forum.
Yes, fact of having PR application pending will be a factor when assessing
your TRV application.

It seems that you mixed up two different thing: Temporary
Resident Visa (TRV) and visitor status (that you can get by
entering Canada using TRV). AFAIK ordinary visitor status have
limit of 6 months (and most visitor receive that 6 months),
regardless whether you have 1 week or 10 years left on your TRV.
TRV duration is from few months and up (AFAIK to several years).

You will need solid ties to US, and good reason to multiple
visit, that much preferably doesn't involve any ties to Canada.

US citizen doesn't need TRV to enter Canada.

AFAIK it will affect the visa application. TRV granting require
assurance that your visit to Canada have no immigration intent /
potential.
