I am a citizen of Canada and was born in India. A company in the UK wants to
employ me. I think for me a work visa is needed.

I had few questions about applying for the visa and will appreciate your
response.

1. Do I have to apply for the visa or the employer has to do it on my
behalf? What is the procedure?

2. I am presently in the US on H-4(Spouse) visa. My wife works in Detroit
metro area in Michigan for a US employer. Do I have to go to British
consulate in Chicago to get the visa or I can do it by mail?

3. How long it takes?

4. Can I visit UK before I am granted a work visa?

Cheers,
MK
