Hello experts,

A friend of mine recently landed in Canada as an immigrant, this was
about 2 weeks back.  When he was in India, he already had a US multiple
entry visa issued (valid upto 2010).  The visa was issued in New Delhi
a couple of years back.

My question is since he is now a permanent resident of Canada, is that
visa still valid?  Or does he need to get a new visa from the Toronto
consulate?

Needless to say, his passport is still the Indian passport with the
valid US visa stamped on it.

US immigration questions should be asked on a US forum.

There is no reason why acquiring Canadian permanent residence should make
any difference.
