My wife and I are in the final leg of adopting our 2 year old son fro
India. Our son's medical clearance at the Canadian Consulate in Ne
Delhi has become a nightmare. Although our son had TB when he was i
the orphanage he was cured. Now after going though the Canadia
authorizied doctor in Delhi, the Consulate wants another TB test don
in 3 MONTHS time !

After already being in India for 3 months, this a unbearable hardship
considering the Canadian embassy's own doctor's have cleared my son. A
I understand it, the adoption cases are suppose to be expediated du
hardships already placed on the parents and I feel the reverse i
happening. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated

You can seek help from your local MP office (in Canada). They (the MPs
office) are very helpful in this kind of situation (adoption cases).
But, I'm not sure how they would help you in the case when it needs to
make sure that the health of the child is ok.

Also, you may post your concerns in the Canadian adoption group (Yahoo:
canadians-adopting@yahoogroups.com) to find any other possible
solutions of the problem. Any member in the group might have gone
through similar problems and they may share their experiences/ideas
with you.

Good luck !

Thank-You for your help. I already have contected my MP in this matter
What I'm finding when I talk to people about this issue is the Canadia
medical team, although well intentioned is out of touch with reality
In my situation, they could let us do other tests on my son to prove T
is not present if they are unsure, rather then expect my wife to wait i
India another 3 months to perform another chest X-ray
