I had lived in Canada for 5 years. At present, I am in Europe.
I am having trouble with a couple of banks and credit cards in Ontario.
I suspect those financial institutions have already sent my file to
collection agencies. Due to the fact that they have been looking for
me, I decided to forward an apology letter with an explanation of my
current financial situation along with money orders for little amount
to the banks I owe money to.

My fiancé is a PR. We've been together for 3 years.

1-If my fiance starts a sponsorship process will I be able to have a
PR?

2-My fiancé has already applied for citizenship, will my financial
problems affect her citizenship application?

3- And lastly, will my financial "mess" put her into trouble?

Thank you very much for your promt and kind feedbacks.

Mike.

Is she only your fiancee or she is your common-law partner?

If she is only your fiancee, you will not get it. Only if she is
your common-law partner or spouse then she can sponsor you.

AFAIK financial situation of the PR applicant have no bearing to
the case, as long as it didn't become a criminal case.

AFAIK no.

> 3- And lastly, will my financial "mess" put her into trouble?

Depend on what kind of trouble. But AFAIK no immigration
trouble.

Firstly, thank you for your prompt answer.
1-Assuming that I need to go bankruptcy or debt proposal soon,
    will it affect my sponsorship?
Will my common-law be RESPONSILE WITH MY DEBTS TOO? Even though she
didn't have a clue about my finances?

2- If banks charge me criminally? Will I be a criminal?

3-And lastly what is AFAIK that you kept saying in your answer (sorry
if it is a silly question?)

thank you very much again.

Thank you for your replies.
What I mean was that ...

If banks charge me on civil courts for my financial mess (or I may need
to refinance debt or prepare a  proposal I don't know what will happen
because I am trying to repay my debts but I am not sure If I will be
able to handle that)

1-)Even though, my common-law did not know about my debts Will my
comcommon-law share the debt by law?

2-If above things happen like being charged on civil court or asking
for a proposal, would this affect our sponsorship?

3-)and lastly, I also have skilled work application it is been on
process for 3 years, would my skilled work application be affected if
the financial things that I mentioned happen?

Thank you very much again for your answers.
