Status of unborn child

I had applied for immigration to Canada under the skilled worker
category and since then have got married and was asked to include my
wife in my application, which I did. After clearing the interview, I
was called for medicals in Feb 2006, which I completed along with my
wife. However, as my wife was a little over 20 weeks pregnant, she did
not have the chest x-ray done. We have since received notification to
consult with our DMP and get her chest x-ray done whenever it is
medically cleared, which we will have done after delivery. EDD is early
July.

What I need to know is what will the status of our child be? Will we
have to fill additional forms or will the child be included in our
application? Will a separate passport have to be issued for the child?
Any additional related information will help.

You will need to add your baby to the application (fill the
necessary forms, etc.). Your baby will also need to go through
medical, but the baby doesn't need security check (for obvious
reason).

AFAIK so, but let's wait for other's comment on this.

For some countries the child CAN go on a parents passport.

AFIAK This is usually up to a certain age (8-12 depending on country) after
which they usually require their own
It is better to check YOUR countries requirement on this.

IF you can put the child on your passport then add the child to BOTH parents
passports.
That way the child can travel with either parent.

If your country does not support adding a child to the parents passport then
S.P. is otherwise correct and you will have to get a separate passport for
the child.

The issue is whether Canada visa office require the baby to have
separate passport to get the PR visa. I somewhat recall that's
the case, but I am not sure.

Child requires it's own passport for Canadian Immigration.
