Hi,
I am a graduate student, having just completed my study in Toronoto. I
understand that students, after their graduation in Canada, will have a
3 months' period to look for a job. Does anyone know when they would
consider the starting date for this period to be? After you get all the
grades, or after convocation? If my student visa expires before that,
is it possible to ask for an extension?
Also, would it be helpful (in speeding up the application process) to
inform the office that I have completed my graduate course (which I
think would give me a couple more points)?
Thanks in advance for your input,

The start date for counting seems to be the date that you have completed all
requirements for your new degree, not the date that it is conferred. You
can have a one-year work permit if you find a suitable job. You must keep
your status in Canada up-to-date.
