I was on a website (it was actually a lawyer's website) and they said
that I qualified for a worker's permit to Canada. What I want to know
is do you really need a lawyer to get this permit? Thanks.

Did they explain in detail how you qualified? Lawyers employees answer
their web site postings.
Anyone would qualify for a work permit. Some do not require special
autnorization but without the offer of employment all you have is their
word that you qualify.
When you finish reading the manual pay your $150.00 and apply.

Hello Gueni,
No, you don't need a representative to apply for a work permit. You can
go to the CIC website as the previous poster stated and download the
guide and forms that you need.
If you have a complicated situation (for whatever reason) some prefer
to hire someone to do this for them, but it is more expensive that way.
If you are capable of doing it for yourself, save yourself the money.

Good Luck!
