I became a landed immigrant in canada last year and got my PR card. I
stayed there for few days and got back to US where I work. I recently
received the US green card.

I am travelling to Vancouver for tourism. What do I show at the canada
border entry? US green card and get a visitor visa in canada or canada
PR card (and try to answer why I have not been living in Canada for
last 1.5 years)

What i really don't want to happen is the Canada Immigration taking
away my PR. For me personally, I am still trying to decide where I want
to live...

Thoughts?

IMHO you are required not to hide your PR status from Canada
immigration. If they find out about it, you may have more issues
than just losing your PR.

Just tell the truth, that 1.5 years outside Canada is your
right. Just make sure you can prove that your stay outside
Canada is that 1.5 years (should be no problem), and if the
border officer asked how long you have stayed in US, he/she
meant since the last time you was in Canada.
