Dear Canadians and Canada connoisseurs,

I'm working as an business analyst with big programming and customizing
knowlege of world most common business software. I heared you need a
university degree if you want to migrate to Canada. I think it is
because everybody can call oneself a business analyst.

My current salary is good, even I never visited an university. Will
this be taken into account by Cannadian authorities? I mean income as
an indicatior for business skills? Do I have a chance for an approval
if I argue this way?

Thank you and best regards

Bernhard

University degree is one of the requirement among so many. In order to
apply as a skilled worker, you need 67 points al togather. See how many
points you have without the degree. If you have 67 points or close, you
can apply. Immigration officer have few points which they can allow
within their descretion. There are lots of professions that do not
require an university degree but professional certification and work
experience.

If you have that good experience and making good salary now, you may
try to find a job in Canada ahead of time. If you can show that you
already have a job offer from a Canadian employer, it will go in your
favor.

NOT TRUE! This was true in the old system but in the current system
that came in to effect in 2002, the case officers cannot grant any
points using their descretion.
