My friend came to Canada under Spouse immigration visa, her ex husband
sponsored the whole process thus she is now permanent resident in
Canada. One of the sponsorship condition is, the sponsor has to
supported the beneficiary for 3 years if the person be sponsored needs
the support at all. Questions are:

1. Any criteria indicate that she is qualitied for requesting her
ex-husband to provide living expenses etc to her (it's still within 3
years of her landing in Canada). the reason to ask is cus she has fair
amount of money in bank but she just want to let her ex know his
responsibility.

2. Any geographical location requirement for her to get her ex's
sponsor? does she have to be in the same city with her ex or same
province with her ex? they are currently both in Ontario but she is
thinking to move to BC or Qubec.

Pls help thanks.

does not quite work that way.  This is not a spousal support guarantee.
This is a guarantee that the new PR will not require any assistance from
the government of Canada for 3 years.  If she has money in the bank...
she will not likely qualify for any government assistance such as
welfare.  If she does get formal assistance - the sponsoring spouse is
required to repay those funds to the federal or provincial government.

If she is looking for her ex husband to support her on a monthly
basis... she will need to prove to the divorce courts that she is
entitled.
