Hello Everyone
I am happy to be a member of this discussion
group. Jim, your input to issues as regards Canada immigration
questions is highly commendable; well done. I applied for immigration
to canada in Nov 2001 while in Nigeria. I am now living in the UK with
my family. Early this year, my immigration lawyers based in Ontario
requested for an update of my documents and police reports( both from
Nigeria and Scotland yard in the UK). All documents were promptly sent.
I got a request for medicals in August 2006. The medical reports were
sent by the DMP on the 25th Oct 2006. How long do you think it will
take to get a feedback? Is everything looking positive?.  NB: the
medical reports were sent to the embassy in London(as all DMP's do in
the UK), although it will have to be taken from there to France medical
office(this the DMP is aware of) because my case processing centre is
Accra Ghana.
Many thanks for your urgent response.

Hi, and yes, your case is proceeding well.  It is hard to assess just when
the medical results will get to Accra because they are carrying out other
checks on your case -background and security.  It sometimes takes a few
months for the medicals while background checks can take longer.  Sorry -
there is no real answer that you could count on to your question.

Hi Jim
Thanks so much for the prompt response, it is much
appreciated. Would it be possible to express your thoughts to the issue
i raised on Family visa at around 2.33pm. Sometime in year 2005, a new
legislation was enacted that family members can still go to canada to
join a permanent resident even while their apllication is being
processed. I am thinking of using this as the worse case scenario if
they dont allow me to pay for their processing and landing fee to come
with me to Canada.
Happy Christmas and a Prosperous new year in advance.
