Thanks - the importation laws are very clear, but the U.S. Vehicle that will
be driven by a Canadian Resident with a Canadian Driver's license will NOT be
imported but driven for a period of time for both leisure and business use in
Canada and then the vehicle will be returned to the U.S.
We seem to be caught between importation rules and legalities of driving the
vehicle ...
Any help here ???

It can't be driven point to point or for leisure in Canada. from the link:
"
4. Under no circumstances are conveyances admissible
under these Regulations for touring purposes or for other
leisure activities in Canada, nor is any local use permitted
(e.g., point to point movement in Canada).

It seems pretty clear to me.. the document says you can bring the vehicle
into Canada to drop-off a person or their belongings, and then the vehicle
must return to the US. You're not allowed to drive the vehicle within Canada
at all (for any purpose).
In order to be able to drive the vehicle up here I'm almost certain it would
have to be legally imported and registered in Canada, regardless how long
it's going to be used.

Thanks - we agree and that's how we read it, but we were getting conflicting
information.
