Hi
Sent in my appliction for PR 1st week in January.
It's now been over 3 months and no acknowledgment.
Has anybody in this group recently received an acknowledgement & how
log did it take.
Does anybody know how long I should wait until I try to chase it up.
TIA

Apparently they're really slow at the moment, at least for skilled
worker applications. In the past some people have received AoRs in as
little as two weeks, but someone recently said that theirs took six
months!

Your in for a long wait beyond notification.

Yeah, but at least once you have the AoR card you know they have the
forms and haven't dropped them down the back of a filing cabinet or
something :).

What's worrying me is that is exactly what's happened to my 90 days
notification & submitted updates.
I know it's been received or at least signed for in good time, but its over a
week since the 90 days were up.
I know it's early days, but I had hoped for a little indication of life in
the application somewhere & it's not helped by nobody seeming to know or
posting the time between 90 days & interview date.
The waiting is the worse part.

Is there anybody in this group who has actually sent off their
application for PR through London in the last few months????
TIA

Hi.
Just my 2 cents. I sent the PR application to Vienna, Austria and the
ACK email was sent one week later. It looks like Vienna is much faster
in processing time than London...
Cheers,

The main thing about London is that it processes applications from
about a dozen countries, whereas most offices only process one or two.
So I'm not surprised that they may have a backlog in sending out AoRs
at times!

Yes Tia, I applied through London, and got confirmation from them in
January.

If you did not get your file number yet then contact them with your
full Identity, must be matched with what you filled in form.

I'm in the same boat..sent mine on the 2nd January and not heard a
thing. Have just emailed them but apparently it can take up to 28 days
to get a reply!! So, not holding my breath.
Does anyone know if you have to send your application to your nearest
visa office? I think someone mentioned the Vienna office was faster
but I had thought you can only send to your local office?
