Hi,
I am glad I found this forum. This for me and my brother. I am
evaluating applying to Canada for immigration. I hope someone can
guide me regarding the NOC Classification:

My Brother:
He has worked in Call Center for more than a year and a half now -
mostly dealing with support for software items. He does not have any
technical qualifications, but he is trained on the job.
Where would this be on the NOC list i.e. which Skill Type? (This is
not telemarketing, and it is a little technical.)

About Me:
    I have a B. S. in EE, and a M.S. in Information Technology from
Germany. I don't have any professional experience (with the exception
of a 3 month paid internship in Germany).
I have however worked as a paid Research Assistant during my Masters,
in the field in which I was studying and I have two publications as
part of my research. If I total the hours that I worked, it comes out
to be about 1 year 6 months or so.

Where would this be on the NOC list i.e. which Skill Type? I am
wondering if I can show this one years of work experience - for my
immigration application.

Thanks a lot for your answers.
