Greetings,
I am sponsoring my wife and the name as on her passport in the surname
section has only the letter "T" Her full last name is Thomas but it is
only T on the Passport. Her full first name is there on the passport.
My question is, when filling out the immigration forms they have
specifically said to use the full name as in the Passport and at the
same time have said not to use intitials. My question is should I go
ahead and put the full last name "Thomas" or simply put "T" as it is
in passport? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mat

Is this what is supposed to be on the
passport? Is the passport correctly
completed?
If not then first get the passport corrected.

I am just providing more information on the problem I am facing, The
full last name of my wife that I am sponsoring, is Thomas but when her
passport was issued they missed out on writing the full last name and
only put "T". If she is to send in her passport to get them to enter
the full last name it will take upto 8 weeks or so. I want to sponsor
her ASAP and would prefer not to wait an extra 8 weeks before she can
get a Passport with the full last name in it. Would there be a problem
if I just use "T" as in the passport and attach a letter explaining
the issue? Thanks again for any advice.

Send the passport back for correction before you submit it. It will not be
accepted as is. It will seem a careless counterfeit.
