Hi,
I recently landed in Canada. In Ottawa to be precise. The officer set
me up, got my mailing address and gave me some landing related info on
PRs. However, he did not ask for any extra photograph for the PR card.
Can anyone tell me if they always ask for a photo ? or do they use the
one they have on file ?
In my case, he did not request for a photo and simply said that my PR
card will be mailed to my friend's address.
Thanks,

Apparently there was a photo available from those you sent to the visa
office. My father-in-law's PR card was made that way and sent to him within
a few weeks.

If the picture on file appears fine, they us it.
