I'm due to start work in Vancouver soon, on a temporary work permit
visa. I'm from the UK and i'm a bit confused about the healthcase
system in Canada. What do I need to do to be covered? I guess it's up
to my employer to get me insurance right?

Thanks

Geoff.

Depends on the employer, some pay it some don't.  If your work permit is
valid for 1 year or more, you are eligible for BCMSP after 3 months, so you
should arrange for insurance prior.
