Hello,

If a Canadian citizen marries an European girl overseas, what is the
process to bring her back to Canada with him?  Do they need to fill
out any forms while overseas?  How long will this whole process take?
Can they both work as soon as they arrive back in Canada?

In the United States, I believe, if you marry someone overseas and
want to bring them to the US as your wife, you need to fill out all
these visas and petition and wait for at least a year to bring them
over.  I was wondering if Canada had a similar process?

Thanks
Sam

Hello,

The link above should provide most of the information that you need.
The length of time will depend on which country the applicant is from:
different visa offices have different case inventories.

Generally, most European offices can process a complete* application
in around 6 months.   * That means its perfect. Any missing or
confusing information will lead to delays.
The Applicant may be able to travel to Canada during that time,
depending on whether or not she requires a visa to enter Canada as a
Visitor.
