Landing Question

Hello Group,

I recently received my PR approval and have the One time landing visa
stamped in my passport.  I'm working in US on H1B visa and it will be
another year or so when I will move to Canada permanently.  Meanwhile
to finish the landing requirement, I have to visit Canada once in next
6 month or so.

My question is: When I do land in Canada, I'm planning to give my
friend's address so that the authorities can mail the Maple card to my
friend, who in turn will mail it to me in US.  Can I do this?  Is this
an option for me?  My friend is a Citizen of Canada now.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Rohit
