Hi there, I'm married to a canadian citizen, we met online 7 months
ago she visited me 8th to 9th times, then we decided to get married.
I'm a Pakistan Citizen living in USA, i know i have to go back to my
country for my interview and medical stuff, but could anyone please
tell me how long does it takes after she will apply for my papers?
what sort of documents do i need to have when i go for the interview
in Pakistan? Please advise.

Thanks

Hello,

There is no requirement that you apply only through Islamabad - you
may be able to apply in the USA. It would depend on your immigration
situation in that country.

Most applications through Islamabad take 6-9 months to be completed.

There  is also the option to apply "in Canada", however the procedure
will take longer and you might not be able to work for a while.

If you are in Canada now, you can apply for the "in Canada"
sponsorship. Even if your temporary visa is out off status, you are
still allowed to stay here.

If you entered US legally and can prove that then she can apply for you
while you are in the US.  However, if your entry is illegal than you need to
go back to Pakistan.

They say anywhere from 6-9 months but most people I know who applied for
their spouse in Pakistan usually get their immi within 3 months.  Of course
their cases were rock solid.  No medical hiccups, no welfare issues or lies.

Good luck.
