Hi everybody,
I want to know how the new law of limiting the number of immigrants
will affect family class procedure.
For example, if I want to sponsor a family member and apply in
November 2008, but later on informed by the immigration office that
2008 family class quota has already been fulfilled (by Minister's
order) then what happens?
Do I have to apply fresh in 2009? Then does this mean I will be
behind someone who applied in January 2009? Worse, if the immigration
office informs me late in 2009, I will face the same risk in 2009 too?
Again which office is going to inform me? The case processing centres
in Canada or the outposts? If the latter, then the time lapsed in the
first office will all go down the drain?
Thanks ahead,
Mithu

It does not apply to family class, only skilled worker.

what 'family quota'?
There is no such quota. Canada needs healthy, educated immigrants, for
free, of course.
Rich country with no money. Bring as much as you can!
They will help you to open bank account.
And, how to write your resume.

No such quota for family class.
Even for skilled worked class if the quota is maxed out your application
automatically rolls over to the next year.
Cheers,
