Hi Everyone,

I recently got laid off and my employer said he will re-hire me after
some months since project i was working on was put on Hold, I am a
software developer and I applied for Employment Insurance,

1)My question is since it is written on my work permit i cannot work
for any other employer other than stated, I am looking for new job
and
Once i get offer letter i will send it to immigration to change my
employer from Old to new. ( This step is correct or Wrong I dont know
Please advice?)

2) I applied for EI and waiting for there decison I worked
continuesly
for two years and got laid off and my work permit still valid till
2010, Will I qualify for EI benefits under this Work permit since it
wont allows me to work for another employer.

3) I got my Record of employment from ex employer and, Once he
decides
to hire me back, can i continue working for him, In Case i dont
change
my work permit to other company and wait for him to recall me.

4) Does applying for EI effect your Permanent Resident application or
sponser ship application, since i am planning to apply for permanent
residence and sponser my brother to vist me after few months. I am
sure i will get the job pretty soon but Does applying for EI effect
my
sponsership application In future??

Please advice

Regards
Noel

AFAIK you will need to go to through the same procedure as your
previous work permit. If your first permit require the employer
to have HRSDC confirmation, then most likely the second permit
will require the new employer to have HRSDC confirmation as
well.

AFAIK this is the issue, I heard that you eligible for EI only
if you actually can do another work.

This one I am not sure whether new work permit will invalidate
the old one. Let's wait for other's opinion.

I don't think so. Being out of work may affect it, though. If
you actually work in Canada, for PR applications in same
category you will get extra score and your application will be
expedited. If you don't work in Canada, you don't have this
advantages.

> or sponser ship application,

As you are not PR yet, you cannot sponsor anybody.

> EI effect my sponsership application In future??

When you have PR in the future and want to sponsor anybody, your
financial / work situation before have no effect. Furthermore,
EI will not make ineligible either.
