Hello Jim/PMM,

Finally with your help and suggestion I was able to import my car from
US to Canada. I have completed the RIV safety inspection, in the mean
time I converted my US DL to Ontario one. I am planning to register my
car in Ontario vehicle registration office by next week.
Unfortunately, I got parking ticket for street parking on weekend! As
my car has still US plate, they have written US plate details in
ticket.

My concern is that will it affect my insurance cost which is already
very high in Canada?
Is it going to be in my driving history? As my car is not register in
Canada yet, how do they track me if I get Ontario plate and don't pay
ticket amount.

It's a personal question, any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Pay the ticket and forget about it.  There will be no consequences unless
you fail to pay.
