Read your undertaking agreement - that you signed at the time of
sponsorship - carefully, this is the primary document that will
determine your responsibility, not current regulation. That
said, AFAIK his citizen status will not change your obgligation.

Assuming that you filed this sponsorship sometime after June 2002
(IRPA legislation took effect then).....
The undertaking for children means that you are responsible for him
until whichever of these happens first:
A) 10 years have passed since he became a permanent resident.
B) He turns 25 years old.
In his case it appears that he was 13 when approved for PR, so you
will be responsible for the full ten years. Citizenship acquisition
does not affect this. Keep in mind that the vast majority of
Immigrants apply for Citizenship within that 10 year window if not
sooner.
