It doesn't matter how long it took for someone else, sorry. Each case is
unique and is being processed at it's own pace. Some inland spouses receive
invitation for landing the same day as AIP, while others a year or longer
later.

Thanks Andrew
When I received my AIP and Decision Made letter, I didn't worry about
going ahead and applying for a work permit, as, at that stage they were
taking approx. 2 months to process those applications. I was hoping
that I would be able to be landed by then and save myself $150.
The Immigration Officer that I spoke to in Vegreville seemed to
think that I would receive a landing interview invitation within 6
weeks or so.
Oh well. I've already waited 9 months - what's a few more lol.

Hey!
Some good news again :)
On Friday, I received my invitation from CIC for my landing interview.
I'm going to be landed on 15 December woohoo.
My timeline:
20 March '03 - CIC received Inland application (common-law)
2 April '03 - CIC started processing
(that is all that e-client shows)
2nd week October '03 - received AIP and Decision made letters.
28 November '03 - received letter advising landing interview on
15 December.
