My wife will be immigrating soon, and landing at Vancouver airport. Please share any knowledge or experience on how long customs and
immigration checks out a new immigrant, assuming she has the visa and proper documentation and goods with and to goods to follow
list. She has to connect to Calgary, and it has to be either just a 3 hour time between flights or I might be able to book the late
flight which is 7.5 hours after scheduled arrival. Or to be sure I'll have to rent a car and drive to Vancouver to pick her up, as I
don't want her first night in Canada to be alone in a hotel or all night at Vancouver airport because she missed her flight due to
customs delays.
Thanks for any information.

This should do. However, if the plane is late, it could throw a spanner
into the works.

Conversely, you could book a flight and surprise her. Van-Cgy flights
are relatively inexpensive, especially on WestJet.
